Rationale:
|
|
In accordance with Public Contract Code section 3400 (c)(3) and Government Code Section 53060, the governing board of a local public entity may award a contract for special services, products, and/or materials without advertising and obtaining competitive bids, if it makes a finding that the special services, products, and/or materials are available from only one source and if the provider of the special services if the provider is specially trained to provide such services. |

In anticipation of the District’s need to provide mariachi music lessons to its students, it has been determined that there is only one source for such lessons and it would therefore not produce any advantage to competitively bid for such services. |
